The Education Coordinator is responsible for ensuring educational success of each student enrolled at the centre. They provide an exceptional learning experience for students and outstanding customer service to the families by building relationships and communicating student progress.
The position is in-person at our South Surrey learning centre (not a remote job). This is a full-time psoition with afternoon-evening hours from Sunday to Thursday.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the Centre Director in administering student assessments and developing student learning plans
- Maintain a very high level of customer service through constantly communicating with parents and sending regular student progress updates
- Lead and coach team members to effectively deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
- Manage students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
- Mentor and support employee development by providing on-the-job training to instructional staff
- Teach/tutor in-centre, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
- Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
- Assist with sales responsibilities, including promptly responding to leads and successfully enrolling students
- Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum bachelors degree, or a two year degree/diploma with an equivalent work experience
- Passion for math and working with students
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Experience working in an educational environment
- Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
- Strong English language written and oral communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and be trained
- Ability to cultivate teamwork and balance education and sales responsibilities
- Proficiency in computer skills
- Customer service experience an assett
All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.
Compensación: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Mathnasium locations are independently owned and operated by franchisees of Mathnasium Center Licensing Canada, Inc. ("Mathnasium"). Franchisees are independent business people and not employed by Mathnasium. Thus, each franchisee and each franchisee centre is unique and the franchisee is alone responsible for all employment matters in their centre. If you are hired to work at a centre, the franchisee will be your employer, not Mathnasium.
